About Me

I currently live in Central IL with my Korean-American husband and a wild and wonderful multiracial three-year old.

I have a B.A. in Religious Studies and an M.A. in Composition with a focus on pedagogy, both from DePaul University. After graduate studies, my academic career continued, teaching reading and writing and managing a literacies center at a community college. Now, I work as an at-home parent, write in my free time, and advocate within my community for racial justice.

I am an ordained ruling elder in the PC(USA) and serve on the Churchwide Coordinating Team for Presbyterian Women. The opinions expressed on this blog are my own, and do not reflect those of Presbyterian Women or any other group.

My writing comes from the intersection of the personal and political. I write about social justice, racism and whiteness, parenting, and faith from the perspective of a white, Presbyterian feminist.
